Overview of Powders
View our wide array of metallic powders below. Find the right fit for your project whether it be needed for any powder based additive manufacturing technologies such as cold spray application or SLM (Powder Bed Laser Melting).
POD offers a number of powder product lines designed for wear and impact protection, structural performance, corrosion resistance, cosmetic repair, high temperature environments, and/or dimensional restoration. Powders are synthesized using novel processing techniques to create the optimal recipe for cold spray deposition.
Material systems offered include metal alloys of Aluminum, Nickel, Copper, Titanium, Iron, and cermets containing Tungsten Carbide or Chromium Carbide. Don’t see the material that meets your need, contact us and we will work with you to efficiently commercialize a solution.

SAAM
Structural Advanced
Additive Manufacturing
High-quality, specially processed aerospace grade aluminum alloy powder designed for cold spray structural performance using helium carrier gas. Powders are thermally treated and packaged in an inert environment providing optimal mechanical properties.

STIC
Structural Titanium
and Corrosion
Spherical, titanium-based product line designed for cold spray applications that demand a high strength : weight ratio. Deposits exhibit superior hardness and corrosion resistance.

DRCU
Direct Repair Copper
High purity copper and bronze for cold spray. Copper powder feedstocks have shown unique characteristics needed for applications that require optimal electrical, anti-microbial, and heat transfer properties.

WIP
Wear and Impact Protection
Wear and impact resistant metal-carbide based cermets for use in both nitrogen and helium cold spray. A variety of powder systems are offered spanning different regimes of hardness, toughness, and machinability.

DARC
Dimensional Aluminum Restoration and Cosmetic
Blended aluminum alloy-based powder designed for dimensional restoration and cosmetic repair using N2 cold spray. A shot peening agent is incorporated to maximize density and coating adhesion/cohesion while minimizing ceramic inclusion.

CW-HT
Corrosive Wear, High Temperature
A product line designed for high temperature environments where exceptional corrosion resistance is needed. Material systems include refractory metals, nickel super alloys, and stainless steels.

Custom Powders
Not all powders for cold spray are created equal.
